Brisbane police officer recovering after allegedly being stabbed in the face

A Mount Gravatt man remains in hospital after being shot in the abdomen after allegedly stabbing an officer in the face in Brisbane's south overnight.The male senior constable, who was allegedly slashed across the face, has serious injuries and is being treated in the Royal Brisbane and Women's Hospital.

This morning, police said the officer's injuries were non-life-threatening and he was recovering in hospital. Hillgrove Street, in Mount Gravatt, has been cordoned off and the forensic team examined evidence overnight, which was strewn across the road.Police said the male and female officers went to the home about 5:00pm yesterday to deliver paperwork.While still standing outside, the male officer was allegedly slashed on the face, before his partner shot the suspect at least three times.Space to play or pause, M to mute, left and right arrows to seek, up and down arrows for volume.

I think you’ll find the facts as to whether they were stabbed in the face or not are pretty settled. They will however allege it was a certain individual that carried out the act. I’m guess I’ll not be alone in requesting you please use the word appropriately.

I don’t think you need to state “allegedly” - either they were stabbed in the face or not.
