New South Wales Labor MP Prue Carr says Premier Gladys Berejiklian will be “weakened significantly” regardless of the leadership spill result on Tuesday.
The Daily Telegraph reports the spill will be called for by Tanya Davies, Matthew Mason-Cox and Lou Amato and is in response to the bill to decriminalise abortion. Ms Carr said “we all know how this movie ends in NSW” as a leadership challenge has been seen “time and time again” on both sides of politics. “All the knives will be out all over a bill that’s not even a government bill,” she said.
