The federal government is preparing to bring dozens of women and children currently in detention camps in north-east Syria to Australia.More than 20 Australian women and children have lived in the camps since the fall of Islamic State in 2019A spokesperson for Home Affairs Minister Clare O'Neil said the government's priority is the protection of Australianswho have been in the camps since the fall of the so-called Islamic State in 2019.
