Sky News host Chris Kenny says the deadly coronavirus pandemic has been “an unwanted interruption” to the ABC’s “normal fear-mongering, alarmism and evangelism on global warming”.

Mr Kenny said following the bad bushfire season, the ABC was using the disasters which were observed “to ramp up its climate change campaigning”. However, this was “rudely interrupted” by the breaking of the drought and the COVID-19 health crisis. Mr Kenny referenced a recent Four Corners report which had “former politicians and leading public servants lamenting the demise of a carbon price, and emissions trading scheme, a carbon tax ....

whatever you want to call it”. He said the program’s main focus was “really about climate policy” but omitted “some crucial facts”. He said the program “didn't want to mention that we're actually reducing emissions that would ruin the narrative”. Mr Kenny said “the big lie” being spruiked, “that abolishing our carbon tax has somehow hurt us with a hotter climate is just tosh, it is not supported by facts, by science, by rational argument, or by reality”.

ItaButtrose This is the problem with the ABCaustralia and 4corners ... they're not telling all the facts...which then allows the audience to form their own opinion

The shit thing about poxy articles like this from free thinkers like Fox Kenny Hill, is that the government & the ABC take them so seriously, that they've been frightened into emulating them, providing just what we need more of, right wing content & influence in the media. HHU!

FatherBob The only time he gets any exposure is when he mentions the ABC. It seems to be a SlyNews ploy.

A lot of people with pronouns in their bio are going to object to this article 😝

No shit.... and probably why the Swedish village idiot jumped from global warming to public health on CNN. She is an expert on everything.

Far Cough, Kenny. Cut ya hair and get a real job, son.

For God's sake, someone take Kenny to a doctor! Foaming, frothing, snarling, gnashing and barking mad, he seems to have contracted rabies, though under what possible circumstances this could have happened one can only speculate.

Chris who?

yes, but Chris Kenny did have untoward relations with a dog

jimx2460 How often do the ABC dedicate articles entirely to talking about Skynews? Your infatuation with them is bizarre.

Well said

Chris Kenny sound like an alarming prolapse of a war-mongering sensationalism seeking media mogul. And a TOTALLY USELESS journalist, who just passed his degree. If you want the worst, as for Kenny.

Chris Kenny, on Sky “News”, talked about “fear-mongering, alarmism, “ Complete lack of self awareness.

What a clown

What is wrong with you? The ABC is the best source of news in this country. I don't even know how to find Sky News? I'll watch 7,9,10 way before Sky. Reading your Tweets encourages me NOT to find it.

How to get Fast 1000 YOUTUBE Subscribers and 4000 Watch Hours /2020

Here he goes! An episode of Mediawatch goes to air and Kenny's blood pressure goes up ...

Who the hell is Chris kenny

Good to see Chris Kenny gets some use of that brain cell he shares with Paul Murray and Rowan Dean. I'm sure all 3 of your fans are cheering for you.

FatherBob Imagine thinking facts are opinions.

Chris Kenny says ... exactly what he’s told to say by he person holding the reigns

Australia’s reduced emissions ‘ruining ABC’s fear narrative’ - it’s hard to extort money from lies when people aren’t listening.

Is Mr Kenny getting more irrational as we keep semi-isolated.

I can't believe someone can shill this hard and still be allowed to published. As some point the shame should physically manifest and the opinion stooge should spontaneously combust or something.

skynews is still grumpy their 3 highest rating shows combined are still out watched by a Wednesday repeat of Peppa pig I see.

ABC is a Leftard joke !

Run out of topics Chris have we so back to the ABC

Chris Kenny has a pathetic and worrisome fetish about the ABC.

The ABC news is the most watched news in the country. Is Andrew Bolt really smart or is he a dumby?

FatherBob This is truly pathetic. But I’d expect nothing less. The ABC and its presenters live rent free in Kenny’s tiny head

What twatwaffle

FatherBob Evangelism and science are polar opposites. Go back to school.

Kenny’s a national embarrassment. And it’s so good to watch his ordinary journalism skewered on Media Watch.

Sky News host Chris Kenny says the deadly coronavirus pandemic has been “an unwanted interruption” to Sky New’s “normal fear-mongering, alarmism and evangelism on the ABC”.

COVID-19 has highlighted Australia's 'reliance' on digital technology | Sky News AustraliaThe coronavirus crisis has shown how keenly Australians rely on digital infrastructure, according to NSW Chief Data Scientists Dr Ian Opperman.\n\nThere has been an unprecedented demand for digital services as more and more Australians access the internet from home.\n\nAccording to figures published in the Australian Broadband Data Demand report, in the first week of May, downloads during the busy evening period increased by 14 per cent to 12.6 terabits per second compared to the last week of February.\n\n“The infrastructure we have relied on absolutely the most is not roads, we still need roads of course, and it’s not even the infrastructure that we have with buildings, it is the digital infrastructure.\n\n“Without the digital infrastructure, the NBN, the telecoms infrastructure, the 5G network, we could not have survived what we just went through, or it would have been a very different experience.'\n\n“Digital infrastructure can make us incredibly productive.” ACSnewsfeed Too bad Abbott and Murdoch f*cked up Australia's NBN to keep Foxtel afloat. Fitzgibbon needs to put 'team Australia' above Chinese interests | Sky News AustraliaNationals Senator Bridget McKenzie says Joel Fitzgibbon needs to clearly state whether he is on 'team Australia' after he accused the government of “demonising China”. \n\n“Joel needs to decide whose team he’s actually on,” she told Sky News. \n\n'Joel needs to get on board, team Australia, or is he backing other Labor entities such as Daniel Andrews by putting the Chinese interest above Australia’s.”\n\nMr Fitzgibbon doubled down on his comments on Monday telling Sky News Scott Morrison unnecessarily damaged Australia’s relationship with China by pursuing the pandemic probe without international support. \n\nDeputy Nationals leader David Littleproud has called on the Labor leader to sack Mr Fitzgibbon for the comments but others within the party — such as Barnaby Joyce — have said they were on the nose. \n\nWhen asked, Ms McKenzie denied there was a split within her party on the issue, insisting any moves made by the government were done with Australia’s national interest at mind. It’s hard to be on “team Australia” when you ripped millions from legit sporting organisations for your own voting fraud? How Australian is that 🤷‍♂️ Why didn't you ask senbmckenzie if cheating in an election is considered being on 'team Australia'? Depends. In which electorate is team Australia’s clubhouse?

JobKeeper windfall 'very good news': Taylor | Sky News AustraliaA revision to the cost of the government’s JobKeeper program is “very good news” for the economy, according to Energy Minister Angus Taylor. \n\nThe government on Friday revealed a costing error by Treasury meant the wage subsidy scheme was initially forecast $60 billion higher than was required. \n\nIt is now estimated the JobKeeper program will cost the government $70 billion and will cover about 3.5 million workers. \n\nSpeaking with Sky News, Mr Taylor downplayed claims of a mistake within Treasury insisting the $130 billion figure was only ever a “forecast”. \n\n“This was a forecast, an update of the forecast, the original forecast was based on the best information available and this was a more subsequent update,” he said. \n\n“This was not an objective or a target. Only the Labor Party could think spending more money is a target.”\n\nMr Taylor said the revision indicated the economy was in better shape than was anticipated. \n\n“It is actually very good news. It means on the ground, and that’s where it counts, it means businesses are in better shape than we may have anticipated when those original forecasts were put in place on the best information available,” Mr Taylor said. \n\n“It does mean we are in a better position as we work our way towards recovery.”\n\nA review into the scheme will be carried out by the government in June.
