IS’s foothold in Somalia has caught the attention of the Australian government with the group’s ties there being formally denounced.

“These groups, IS Somalia included, tend to target Westerners ... for kidnapping for ransom purposes,” the submission reads. “There are certainly places where ISIS is more powerful today than they were three or four years ago,” he said. The Home Affairs Department considers advice from ASIO on any group’s potential threat and links to Australia before terror listings are referred for review.

So what about America supplying IS with arms in Syria? Wouldn't you classify America as an IS?

ISIS r a threat to any state/region etc. Australia should focus on radicalised non-state actors in Indonesia & the Philippines (closer to our own borders & interest). However, I do not think ISIS in Somalia will give a 'shit' what the Australian government think of them!!!
