Australia and New Zealand meet in an ODI behind closed doors at the SCG — Australia's first match to take place under such restrictions due to the coronavirus outbreak.

A fan wearing a gas mask has waited outside the SCG's locked gates and cameramen have clapped in a bid to create atmosphere during Australia's first sporting event held behind closed doors due to coronavirus.

Both captains still exchanged hand shakes at the toss, but interviews were done via the spidercam to ensure a 2-metre buffer zone. On the field, players at least tried to carry on as if it was business as usual after being told of the new measures late on Thursday night. And when New Zealand had their first appeal — a top-edge from David Warner that should have been upheld — no review clock appeared on a big screen devoid of replays.

'Elderly work longer and harder than ever' according to new ABS report | Sky News AustraliaSky News host Paul Murray says older Australians are working “longer and harder than ever before”.\n\nThe Australian Bureau of Statistics reported that “nearly a fifth of Australians aged 65 and over and working in 2006 were working ten years later”. \n\nMr Murray says this “reflects a doubling of the proportion of employed people who are over the age of 65'.\n\nHe said the reason a disproportionate number of older workers were found in the agricultural industry was “in part because the next generation doesn’t want to take over”. \n\nImage: Getty No shitttttt Your wonderful LNP have it so...🙄🤦🏻‍♂️
