Ardern’s war on disinformation is really just a ban on other opinions

New Zealand, Disinformation

The words “misinformation” and “disinformation” have been rendered almost meaningless in recent years, thanks to leftist leaders using them relentlessly to silence other points of view, writes Daisy Cousens.

Last week, during her address to the United Nations General Assembly in New York, New Zealand Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern proved, once again, she is the very definition of a wolf in sheep’s clothing.

Never mind the fact she claims New Zealand supports the development of “a new global health legal instrument” for pandemic preparedness.Apparently, she doesn’t think it was easy enough for governments to wrench away our inherent freedoms for a virus that for most of us presents itself as a mild case of the flu.

She also likened internet speech to weapons of mass destruction; claiming nuclear weapons are now accompanied by “prolific disinformation” and the “manipulation of whole communities and societies”.According to Ardern, online speech she doesn’t agree with is a weapon of war.

Seriously Donald Trump is known for numerous Crimes and it is a fact the FBI raided his house for classified documents everything from nuclear secrets to his phone records as President.. Rupert Murdoch and Donald Trump are the king's of lies & disinformation auspol Insiders Misinformation and disinformation is Sky News operational mandate isn't it Uber right wing propaganda department.

Are the only people that watch sky news a bunch of ignorant leftists that need to participate in the daily hate? Well, Daisy the conservative contra queen would say that, wouldn't she? And of course you'd publish it, wouldn't you? Leftist? Now that is funny. Newscorp is the bastion of fake news, of lies and disinformation.

If 'left leaning' views are described as 'leftist', does that mean that out of touch 'piss on your back and calling it trickle down economics' views formerly called right wing views can be described as 'Fuckwitist' or do you lot still prefer the term Murdocracy? So true! “The words “misinformation” and “disinformation” have been rendered almost meaningless in recent years, thanks to leftist leaders using them relentlessly to silence other points of view”. This point of view comes from the Disinformation Capital of Sky News.

FFS. Are you really a journalist?

Hilarious!

.... 'leftist leaders' is a divisive terminology applied to anyone who disagrees with or has a different viewpoint than Sky News and Murdoch. Fox, Sky, same-same. You realise that misinformation labelled as a different opinion is still misinformation, right? ...Right? Both apply to facts. Facts were the first casualties in the wokewars!!!

So what! Who really cares what Daisy writes. Miss Marple was right - 'deflection' does work ... chrissmithonair This dangerous Human Horse hydrid must be put to pasture ASAP Time for her to go.

GITMO SWINGER macsween_prue Next most misused words racism and facism without explanations Irony is dead at sky news. When I look up the words “misinformation” and “disinformation” they are always associated with a Murdoch publication. The words “misinformation” and “disinformation” have been rendered almost meaningless in recent years, thanks Daisy Cousens.

Daisy the fascist Mouseketeer speaks… 🐭 *squeak!* lol mmm.... and there was i thinking Trump was the instigator for all things fake news... his enabler was Murdoch, your employer... You think it’s the left that has weaponised the concept of “fake news” Is this satire? Hmmmm No thats not the reason... the real reason is you print so much mis-information that no one really knows whats wot.... Hence i listen to the ABC Sky has been rendered meaningless in recent years due to its leadership and journos

The were never words until the Left Leaders coined them. Let them go, Daisy. As Daisy misinforms her readers. Again. Seriously? Daisy Cousens can write? It wasn't the Left that invented alternative facts. Fact and opinion are two different things. A media organization should know that Sky really has a problem with people pointing out what organisations like Sky do to promote misinformation and disinformation. Beware the right-wing leader who accuses the other side of spreading mis-or-disinformation. Pot - Kettle - Black

Think SKY News would be best to stay off Twitter. They are even more a laughing stock than ever.

‘I want to face my age’: Liam Neeson on his new dementia thriller MemoryAt 70, the Irish actor is still doing tough-guy roles, but increasingly he wants to face his mortality too.

Alternative ‘opinions’ are no substitute for the truth about an issue. SHOULD READ: 'The words misinformation & disinformation have been rendered almost meaningless in recent years, thanks to Murdoch who creates so much misinformation & and disinformation to make tax free profit!!' Sky lies, masters of all the propaganda tactics mentioned. Goebbels Murdoch profiteering from war and division

Let us clear up the confusion for Sky News(sic). Misinformation = undeniably wrong. Disinformation = knowingly wrong but it suits our agenda to promote it. Yeh it’s pretty obvious unfortunately most people are so worked up over a fossil and an orange man to see it. It appears your masthead is more interested in monetising division at home than fighting authoritarianism.

Who the hell is daisy cousins? Is this some life form that's crawled out of the cesspit? macsween_prue Animal Farm Geez another grifter on the Sky bandwagon, hoping to monetise her other socmed channels. Ignore her, she’ll go away Who started this whole thing about fake news? Rhymes with dump

Nor really. They are the Murdoch propaganda and disinformation outfit’s stock in trade. One can understand why you want to defuse the terminology but it applies to YOU, like it or not. Stew in it. Silence can’t be used any longer as a defence and we must stand and defend our democracy and society as we once knew it.

Misinformation and disinformation are the keystones that hold the Newscorpse business model together. fmllolnews ardern wants to outlaw free speech unless it supports the government narrative she is also calling for a one world govtsge is a WEF graduate and mouthpiece Yes, better off she just called them lies and be done with it!

Potty mouth Cousens from the Murdoch Sewer. Horse 🐎 Really Sky News. You are the source of the greatest amount of disinformation.

Does she now? How revealing of her culture warrior job. Again - do you push anything but right wing propaganda? Hope she’s voted out. No, no, they're the perfect descriptors for the rubbish published by all Murdoch media outlets, embarrassing. 😂😂😂😂😉😉😉😉😉😉😉😉😉😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😉😉😉😉 the word disinformation Wikimedia indicates comes from Sly, I mean “Sky” opinion comedy entertainment disguising itself as a news channel. I dare you to undertake a fact checking competition!

So she is rightist where misinformation and disinformation don't exist then? Just another load of blah from the Sky aligned. This 100%👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 Anything Daisy says is meaningless due to, well ... Daisy. Conrad Jacinta. DaisyCousens Don't fret Elon Musk is going to fix that. All right wing social cesspits - Gettr, Rumble, Parler & Truth Social are now going to lose out big time to Twitter when it becomes unfettered. Its Erin Molan's worst nightmare for her crusade of censoring social media.

Scary times ahead with the controlling of information, the truths will be hidden by the government and only paid sources that suit's the agendas will be released by MSM ,that is dictatorship and in line with how dictator's control the citizens ,MSM is already doing that

So, never any misinformation or disinformation from Sky News then? jacindaardern & ScottMorrisonMP were the worst offenders when it came to misinformation and disinformation during the alleged pandemic!! These 2 scumbags WILL have thier day in the NUREMBERG Trials 2.0 where misinformation goes to flourish

They’ve never been more meaningful. Right-wing media outlets such as routinely misrepresent people’s views to promote outrage and hate. Promoting hate is corporate policy - Murdoch media do it for ratings and to sell ads. So Sky News is officially in support of rampant disinformation? Diasy is the master of disinformation.

Clearly she struggles with those concepts Daisy trying to make sure that she gives them meaning once again I see. Otherwise what she actually says becomes meaningless. ok Boomer

She is frightening Well said. Isn't her job to whinge about Harry and Meghan? More of Murdoch's crap. She’s rubbish. The female rotten version of Trudeau.

While she poses as the smiling, doe-eyed, “compassionate” face of modern progressivism, beneath the soft veneer is a sneering intolerance for anyone who may challenge her.“You only receive the low and middle income tax offset when you lodge this year’s return,” H&R Block’s Mark Chapman said. Both Coles and Woolworths have moved to reduce and lock in prices on a range of common items this year, in a bid to give shoppers greater certainty over their bills at a time of product shortages and rising cost of living pressure.Read more It's a spell that's worked out very so far, with Macarthur winning last week's Australia Cup title by playing a sparkling attacking style of football led by impressive performances by Daniel Arzani, Al Hassan Toure and inspirational skipper Ulises Dávila.

Never mind the fact she claims New Zealand supports the development of “a new global health legal instrument” for pandemic preparedness. Apparently, she doesn’t think it was easy enough for governments to wrench away our inherent freedoms for a virus that for most of us presents itself as a mild case of the flu. The offset scheme, which has been extended twice during the pandemic, has been increased by $420 to the maximum of $1500 for those in the magic $48,000 to $90,000 bracket for the 2021-22 financial year. She also likened internet speech to weapons of mass destruction; claiming nuclear weapons are now accompanied by “prolific disinformation” and the “manipulation of whole communities and societies”. Meanwhile, Coles this week decreased the price of 150 items and locked these until the end of January 2023. According to Ardern, online speech she doesn’t agree with is a weapon of war. “If you earn between $37,000 and $48,000 the offset will increase up to a maximum of $1500. If I were writing this article purely to be facetious, I would insist she tune into an hour of CNN, or read The New York Times, before she accuses people on the internet of crimes akin to nuclear proliferation. Paramount provoked the ire of football fans though, by saying supporters would not be able to pause or rewind coverage of matches shown on the streaming service in the same way other services do.

However, what’s important is her use of the words “disinformation” and “misinformation”. If your earnings go over $126,000 you won’t get any offset on your tax at all. However, neither would confirm on Tuesday whether these policies will be extended beyond the end of this year. Those two words have been rendered almost meaningless in recent years, thanks to leftist leaders using them relentlessly to silence other points of view. The trend was seemingly inaugurated by the Democrats in late 2020, when they branded anyone who so much as vaguely questioned the integrity of the federal election as a dangerous merchant of mis or disinformation. “The offset can only reduce the amount of tax you need to pay to $0, and if there is any offset remaining you will not receive that amount as a cash refund,” it says on its website . The fact they spent a large majority of the Donald Trump presidency crying foul over his supposedly illegitimate 2016 election win, coupled with a two-year investigation into whether or not he colluded with Russia to steal it (newsflash; he didn’t) seemed not to matter. “Customers can also stretch their budget without sacrificing top quality by opting for our Woolworths brand products, which are available across a range of categories at competitive prices,” they said. The words “misinformation” and “disinformation” have been rendered almost meaningless in recent years by leftist politicians such as Jacinda Ardern (pictured speaking to the UN in New York last week), writes Daisy Cousens. If you’re eligible, the offset will automatically apply and display on your notice of assessment.

Photo: Michael M. Santiago/Getty Images/AFP The purpose of this “mis-or-disinformation” branding was to outlaw dissent by shaming its proponents. A survey of 56 consumer goods makers by investment bank Jarden, carried out last month, revealed close to three quarters of the suppliers surveyed wanted to raise prices in 2022. Such attempts to control the conversation are not unique to late 2020; the left have used terms such as “hate speech” and baseless accusations of bigotry to sully competing opinions for many years. However, since nobody has ever been able to define “hate speech” et al, “mis and disinformation” has become the primary tool of the trade. That’s why you’ll hear those labels shrieked by left-wing leaders at people with contrary opinions on everything from COVID to climate change. Delivery price consistency, according to Mortimer, was an important tool for supermarkets during inflationary times, especially as discounting becomes more difficult.

Which, really, is where Jacinda Ardern was coming from, as she said in her speech, “How do you tackle climate change if people do not believe it exists?” Beware the left-wing leader who accuses the other side of spreading mis-or-disinformation. A non-alarmist approach to managing climate change is not mis-or-disinformation. Perhaps if Ardern and her ilk had policies that were actually beneficial to the public, they wouldn’t be so trigger happy when they crack down on dissent.35 per cent stronger at $16. .
