New South Wales Premier Gladys Berejiklian has remained tight lipped on the prospect of losing her transport minister. NSW Transport Minister Andrew Constance is expected to announce his decision to quit state politics to contest the marginal seat of Eden- Monaro. Mr Constance will run against Labor Party preselect Kristy McBain.

NSW Deputy Premier John Barilaro ruled himself out of contention for the upcoming by-election yesterday in order to pave the way for his colleague to run for the marginal seat, made vacant by outgoing Labor MP Mike Kelly.
