The Opposition leader says it is easier for some communities to catch COVID than find a rapid antigen test under another Morrison Government failure.

Mr Albanese referred to a moment when the Prime Minister noted the challenges faced by Australians in the pandemic as he watched the, saying “… this is Australia living with the virus, look at out there and Australians taking wickets with the virus”.

Labor leader Anthony Albanese has taken aim at the Prime Minister again over the severe shortage of rapid antigen tests. Picture: NCA NewsWire / Daniel Pockett “In too many areas there are a lack of rapid antigen tests. That means that our elderly loved ones have been left isolated, unable to see loved ones, unable to see the workers who are looking after them,” he said.

“This Prime Minister is characterised by always waiting for a problem to become a crisis before he acts. What I say is, we need to actually do this better. We need to plan ahead. We need to listen to the advice.”The Labor leader’s comments come amid a warning from a Melbourne epidemiologist to the elderly population to impose their own personal lockdown ahead of the predicted peak of the Omicron wave.

Slick comment Albo. True too.

COVID = To a Government: Less Old People = Huge Savings in Social Security and Medicare = More money they can pilfer into their own pockets, their pet projects and other oppressive uses of the resources that will ultimately lower your standard of living while raising theirs. RT

All I see is your political ambition light dimming. You have no alternatives, just snipes. You are about to repeat the 1996 election.

His VD us getting worse

Albanese, name a country that has done better than Australia re Covid in the aged care sector !!

Easy for youths to steal cars with a labor state government. Another failure

I didn’t think it possible but the opposition leader is more negative than shorten (and only marginally better as a human being). Harry Hindsight. Stands for nothing. History of failure along with most of his team. Non-contributor. Unelectable garbage IMO.

Says captain frigging obvious.cant he come up with something original.😏

Ha he ever been objective and criticise the incompetence of the Victorian labor government? That failed to order and dismissed the use of RAT until Christmas Eve?

Australians are actually entitled to be frustrated by both Libs and Labor. Federal or state ….both parties are in power. Who do you vote for when both keep failing

Pretty easy to catch aids too, if you do so choose. Unusual analogy.

LoL. Yeh because if there was more rapid tests the Omicron surge in cases would have been avoided... Take a look at England and Scotland, not only did them having ample RATs make no difference, harsher restrictions in Scotland essentially did nothing to stem the rapid case rise

Good it's nothing to worry about 👍 I've had both Delta and Omicron and I'm unvaccinated 😁 walk in the park. Got it done easy 👍

What's his plan? Another lockdown?

Negative Albo No ideas Albo Increase taxes Albo
