Journalists, photographers, commentators, designers, producers and editors from The Age are finalists in a number of categories of the 66th walkleys awards for excellence in journalism.

Photographers Kate Geraghty and Brook Mitchell were named finalists in news photography for respective images from a COVID-19 intensive care unit and of the Sydney anti-lockdown

protest.Kate Geraghty was also awarded Nikon Photo of the Year, a prize administered by the Walkley Foundation on behalf of Nikon, for her image titled “Fighting COVID-19 Delta” .
