Sky News host Alan Jones says activist groups such as Extinction Rebellion have a right to protest, but they “don’t have a right to stop people going about their daily lives”. His comments came as climate protests are expected to continue across major Australian cities this week and into the weekend.

Mr Jones questioned the methods and messages portrayed by climate change activists, asking “what do they want?” “No one denies climate change; the climate has been changing for years,” Mr Jones said. “Anti-social behaviour must be punished… And if you repeat that behaviour, that's what a jail cell is for.

AlanJones ExtinctionR The real objective is

AlanJones They hate progress which benefits all - especially the poor. This lot would like to keep others in poverty so they themselves are in supposedly eternal nirvana. Do many of their families have shares in renewables? Of course.

AlanJones ExtinctionR The Unemployable

AlanJones ExtinctionR So the media focus on the individuals protesting and not the reason for the protest. It’s a global protest and it’s in the interests of the world. The whole idea of a protest is to disrupt. If the government acted nobody would be out there. Blame the government.

AlanJones ExtinctionR and yet nothing is done to stop them. Just polite removal that does nothing to deter them. Release the zombies...it's time.

AlanJones ExtinctionR Why cant they protest in a park or football field?

AlanJones ExtinctionR Yeah and they’ve even taken the day off Uni to let us all know what’s up.

AlanJones ExtinctionR Absolutely right, Alan. No matter how convinced people are of the doomsday message from climate soothsayers, they win no-one over by impeding their livelihoods and their roads to them. This cult movement goes beyond civil disobedience and into uncivilised disruption.

AlanJones ExtinctionR Exactly, people have a right to go about their slavery without hindereance!

AlanJones ExtinctionR '“No one denies climate change; the climate has been changing for years,” Mr Jones said.' What rock has Jones been living under? There are elected politicians that are openly denying climate change

AlanJones ExtinctionR If protests aren't impactful, they're not effective.

AlanJones ExtinctionR the klimate klowns

AlanJones ExtinctionR Try stopping me and I will run right over you
