Washington Times Opinion Editor Charles Hurt says a free republic “can’t exist” without a sensible, informed and intelligent electorate but notes the United States media is “off the rails”. Speaking to Sky News host Paul Murray in Washington DC Mr Hurt said the “hysteria on the left” has made news outlets like the New York Times, Washington Post and CNN become “hatchet men” for the Democrats.
