Comment: For straight women, there are typically only two options: live alone or live with a husband/male partner. But there is a third option, writes KaseyEdwards

When it comes to the long-term living arrangements of straight women, there are typically only two options: live alone or live with a husband/male partner.

“We are friends, companions, emotional but not sexual intimates, and we've built a partnership that shares attributes with traditional marriage, open marriage and polyamory,” writes Emerson inBoston Marriages are different from flat mate arrangements, in that the women involved make a long-term commitment to each other to share resources, and to care for and support each other physically and emotionally.

Dr Lauren Rosewarne from the School of Social and Political Sciences at Melbourne University suspects that Boston Marriages may suit women at particular stages of their lives.

KaseyEdwards Now i remember why i stopped reading the SMH its a bit like the ABC.... useless

KaseyEdwards If you have someone you trust to be your power of attorney, enduring guardian and joint bank account signatory do that. There is no need for another dodgy contract in the marriage arena.

KaseyEdwards Fair enough

KaseyEdwards Dooh!

KaseyEdwards What is the point of this article ffs? If it’s meant to be helpful or amusing, it certainly is neither. People have all sorts of relationships and living arrangements, who asked for more ‘options’? Go on write about straight women and carrots, and call it versatile vegetable.

KaseyEdwards And what's wrong with living alone ? Been doing that for 45 years by choice and love it, friends stay if they like on weekends, or come for a meal/drinks, both male & female.

KaseyEdwards NORMAL heterosexual MALES are NOT the problem!! MALES that have had GOOD rearing are NOT likely to have disrespect for our FEMALE friends & PARTNERS!!

KaseyEdwards Boston marriage..When lesbians remain in the closet.

KaseyEdwards You do that and the guys can go MGTOW. It's win-win.

KaseyEdwards

KaseyEdwards I lived with a male friend for a while and he was so worried that people would think we were gay. It was quite ridiculous actually. I didn’t give a shit what people thought.

KaseyEdwards People generally live alone or with a partner. Gay people have partners too. Morons.

KaseyEdwards This day n age there is much more options. Just ask the people that buy those robotic sex dolls

KaseyEdwards Sick women. They need psychiatric help.

KaseyEdwards I dunno. Sounds pretty gay to me.

KaseyEdwards Constant. Relentless. Endless undermining of love and family.

KaseyEdwards Straight men have the same options no?

KaseyEdwards Getting a cat?

AnnaPattySMH The fact that the train required a pilot in the first place is a concern. A pilot is typically only allocated to a train for a section of track that has some kind of significant fault. Australia must hit net zero by 2050 to meet Paris: scientistsTop scientists say for Australia to honour the Paris Agreement and limit global warming to less than two degrees, the country must reach net zero emissions before 2050 Yes, no doubt the alt right bobbleheads will be on their microphones screaming the house down with, what would the scientists know. Zero by 2050 is not sole test of climate purity - it is one case, others push out to end of century. Given modle uncertainties & other impacts on climate (sun) it shows this is not the one hill to die on with no test of cost/benefit It took less than 10 years to put a man on the Moon why do we even need 30 years to de-carbonise our economy? We've already identified the alternative sources of energy and done mass user testing to see it works.
