A Kmart employee who works at a major Melbourne shopping centre has tested positive for coronavirus.

The retail giant's Greensborough Plaza store, in the city's north, has been closed for deep cleaning but is expected to reopen tomorrow."At Kmart, the health and safety of our team and customers is our highest priority and we can confirm that a team member at our Kmart Greensborough store has returned a positive result for COVID-19," a spokesperson said.

"As soon as we were made aware, we immediately closed the store as a safety precaution and we're currently conducting a thorough sanitisation of the store and will reopen tomorrow. "We are working closely with the Department of Health and will continue to keep our team and customers informed." A number of Kmart stores have been forced to close across Melbourne in the past week as the COVID-19 crisis in Victoria worsens.

About time. Large clubs don’t seem very interested in any State, in doing the right thing. They deserve the one strike you’re closed rule.

So for weeks now NSW has been kinda laughing and maligning Victoria. NSW has had a prediction a live vision of what is possible, if you do not lock down your state it is going to run like Victoria!!! This will be worse as you could see what is coming!!!

FFS, just lock them ALL completely down again, increase the fines to the clubs ... say 5000 per person and 3000 to each individual that breaks the lockdown. Eventually, even the most stupid will hopefully realise that their arrogance is not in th public iterest.
