The Home Affairs Minister is standing by his claim war veterans want the medevac laws scrapped.
“I believe very strongly that most Australians and certainly the vast majority of veterans would want us to abolish this law,” he said.
A senate inquiry will table its report this on Friday morning on the government's bid to repeal the legislation.
Jacqui Lambie, who holds the vital vote on repealing medevac, has said she is relying on this senate inquiry to help her reach a final position.
