A Sydney woman has been charged after allegedly altering pay slips and posing as a nurse to get money for a new car.
The woman was charged after an ongoing investigation which began when police searched her home in the city's southwest in March.
During the raid, police seized 4.4kg methylamphetamine (ice), which has an estimated value of $1.5m, as well as cash, a loaded pistol, ammunition and several electronic items.
As a result of inquiries and a public appeal, police arrested and charged a 21-year-old Cobbitty man with multiple drugs and firearms offences last month.
Following further investigations, detectives returned to the home about 7am today and arrested a 22-year-old woman.
Investigators also seized a Toyota Corolla, which will be subject to forensic examination.
The woman was charged with dishonesty obtain property by deception and police will allege she pretended to be a registered nurse and altered pay slips and banking records to fraudulently obtain finance to purchase a new vehicle.
She has been granted conditional bail and is expected to appear in court later this year.
