It is responsible for preparing a list of economic sectors and activities that are permitted for FDI. The list of permitted activities is called the Positive list.
FDI Committee may prepare another list called the Negative list, which would contain a list of restricted businesses for FDI.The said resolution names 122 economic activities in the Positive list. These activities are permitted for 100 per cent foreign ownership. Under the positive list there are 3 categories in which an investor can launch its business. They are:The Cabinet’s resolution presents the minimum capital and the requirements and conditions for each activity in the respective sector.
